Mafube Mountain Retreat offers an array of different activities to participate in if you are looking to be a little more active.

On Mafube you can visit the waterfalls and caves, bird watch, fish or canoe or simply unwind and take in the beautiful mountain lands of the Eastern Free State.

If you are feeling more adventurous, visit the art mecca that is Clarens for great dining, some sport, or even a bit of shopping.

Should you really wish to explore the Eastern Free State, we would recommend a visit to Golden Gate as well as the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho.

Let the children play

Let the kids ride their bikes along the farm road, jump on the trampoline or explore the “Plantation Playground” with its long swing and safe zip-line for children under 40 kg.

Our communal lapa offers DSTV, table tennis and braai facilities.

In the Clarens area

The farm is situated 26km on tar from Clarens with its wonderful restaurants, shops, and art galleries and its 18hole golf course. Clarens based adventure sports such as abseiling and white-water rafting are also on offer.
